Amartex Industries proposes to set up a textile park and a food processing facility in Punjab with an investment of Rs5,000 crore.
The projects are planned on 100 acres of land between Zirakpur and Ambala and Rajpura and Ludhiana. Amartex has expansion plans with a capital of Rs180 crore to be funded through an equity issue in May 2007.
It proposes a joint venture with a Chinese firm to set up a garment plant.
